Salary Range: $43,000 – $49,000 annually
Help Strengthen First Nation Leadership in Water Governance
IFN of Ontario is seeking a Water Governance Coordinator who is passionate about supporting First Nation communities in strengthening their role, voice, and capacity within Great Lakes and St. Lawrence water governance. This is more than a coordination role, it’s an opportunity to work alongside communities, leadership, and partners to support meaningful participation in decisions that impact water, land, and future generations. If you are driven by relationships, purpose, and community impact, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to work that supports long-term environmental stewardship and First Nations jurisdiction.
What You’ll Be Part Of
- Supporting First Nation communities in strengthening their participation in water governance initiatives
- Coordinating engagement across communities, leadership, and external partners
- Contributing to projects focused on water stewardship, sustainability, and environmental priorities
- Supporting communication, collaboration, and representation in regional and intergovernmental discussions
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in environmental work, community engagement, program coordination, or related fields
- Understanding of First Nation governance, priorities, and community-based approaches
- Interest or experience in water stewardship, environmental initiatives, or policy work
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to support coordination, research, and project activities across multiple stakeholders
- A genuine commitment to supporting First Nation communities and priorities
