Location: Hybrid / Remote (Travel Required)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Salary Range: $65,000 – $81,000 annually

IFN of Ontario is seeking a Child Welfare Systems & Protocol Advisor who is passionate about supporting First Nation communities in strengthening child welfare systems, advancing jurisdiction, and promoting prevention-focused, culturally grounded care. This is more than a policy role, it’s an opportunity to work alongside communities to support meaningful, long-term change. Your work will help shape approaches that prioritize family, culture, and community-led solutions. What You’ll Be Part Of
- Supporting First Nation communities in strengthening child welfare systems and approaches
- Contributing to the development of protocols, planning, and prevention-focused initiatives
- Working alongside leadership, social service teams, and community partners
- Supporting approaches that prioritize family, culture, and community wellbeing
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in child welfare, social services, or community-based work
- Understanding of First Nation contexts, governance, and priorities
- Knowledge of child welfare legislation and policy frameworks
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to support planning, research, and systems-level work
- A genuine commitment to community-driven change
